How to Assemble
- Collect dry open pine cones, or reuse cones you have left over from Christmas decorating.
- Using a stiff paint brush, brush out any dirt or insects that may be hidden in the cone’s crevasses.
- Using wire cutters or pruners, snip the cones in half and snip off any remnants of stem on the ends.
- Using colourful acrylic or spray paint, paint the cones in floral colours. This usually takes two coats of paint.
- At the stem end of the cone, paint a yellow center with a brush and acrylic paint.
- Let cones dry completely before arranging in a low dish.
- Enjoy your colourful centerpiece!
